ANACHRONIC ART

Art as the record of timelessness.

We believe art is a foundational part of the record of humanity — not only because it is an expression of its time and of each specific moment it traverses, but because it belongs to a substratum embedded more deeply within the human condition. It is also the expression of a time and space that no longer belong to the laws under which we live. This is why GIN LANE chooses these artists: because their work contains a substance that belongs to timelessness.

Connecting Argentine art with the international market. Gin Lane is an art gallery devoted to the anachronic, based in Southampton, New York, and driven by a unique alliance of Argentine, Swiss, and American directors. Our purpose is clear: to bring the talent and force of our artists' work to the heart of the international market, consolidating their value and global reach.

About Us

Our expansion into the U.S. began by connecting our co-founder's residence in Southampton, NY, with the latent force of the Andes. From there, we consolidated our impact through exclusive exhibitions in Wilmington, VT, and in the Hamptons themselves. This trajectory is supported by milestones of great relevance, such as the donation of a public work exhibited at Lake Agawam Park by the local town hall, and our recent exhibition at DORCAM (Doral Contemporary Art Museum) in Doral, Miami, FL.

This cultural bridge rests on two conceptual pillars:

Northern Matter, Southern Soul

Faced with the logistical challenge of transporting Andean rock, our sculptor intervened native Vermont marble and granite. The result is monumental pieces sculpted in Wilmington that fuse the geology of the East Coast with the mysticism of the south.

The Perfect Circle

The proposal is completed with the incorporation of Andean artist Ariel Toba. His captivating work aligns with the search for the concepts of anachronism — the temporal exploration that fascinates both Gin Lane's direction and our collectors.

Tachuela

Stone Sculptor — Mendoza, Argentina · International

His work emerges from direct confrontation with stone — granite, basalt, sandstone — carved through a process that is as much about listening as it is about force. The result is sculpture that carries geological time within its surface: forms revealed rather than invented.

His practice spans monumental land interventions and intimate gallery pieces, exhibited in Argentina, Germany, Colombia, and Switzerland.

Statement

Five millimetres every hundred years — that is how long it takes a rock to dissolve. The process is called karst.

If temperature and boiling conditions are maintained from the first minute to the last, and the vessel is kept open at atmospheric pressure, one litre of pure water will take an hour to evaporate. A flower may take four weeks to disintegrate. That is what interests me.

Dissolution. The edge. The instant before it no longer is. To paint the landscape as if it were forgetting itself. The air that holds the shape of something no longer there.
